Zenith launches player housing trial, picking up former New World creative director and WoW designer

Andy Tsen, CEO of Ramen VR wrote a letter to the zenith Late night community with industry and gaming news. For starters, the indie studio appears to have picked up two notable developers: Giancarlo Surla and Dave Maldonado, the latter of whom may be better known to MMO gamers, having been New World’s creative director and a top game designer at World of Warcraft years ago. in addition to the now discontinued Amazon Lord of the Rings MMO. You will assume the roles of Art Director and Design Director in a studio that now has 25 employees.
Readers will surely already know about the game’s imminent launch on PSVR2 later this month (and also that it has yet to fulfill its Kickstarter promise for a real PC launch). But Tsen added more teasers for content coming in 2023, claiming that “2023 will be the biggest year yet for Ramen VR.” And yes, this is the update that will include player housing.
“Today I am pleased to announce that Major Update 1.3 will be available next week from Friday 2/10. We can only allow a few users initially as we test the technology. Keep an eye on our social networks for access opportunities. In this build, of course, you can play with announced features like Cyber Ninja and Player Housing – but there will also be extremely exciting and completely unannounced features. As a reminder, testers can’t share information about the build with the outside world – but we want to get as many people involved in the test as possible.”
