Youri Tielemans has claimed that when Leicester face Liverpool tomorrow, they will ‘have to run a lot’ to shorten things from the game.
The Belgium international claims that his side need to be ‘tough mentally’ as the chances can be few and far between Jurgen Klopp’s side at King Power.
“We’re going to have to run a lot because it’s all about intensity, pressure and counterattack,” midfielder told Leicester City Official Website.
“It is very difficult to confront them. You have to find space and be mentally tough. We know that, against teams like Liverpool, you don’t have many chances in the game.
“If we get one, you have to be efficient and hopefully we’ll keep a cool head to finish our chances and get the best out of this game.”
The two sides met recently in the EFL Cup with a victory on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw.
The Foxes have been beaten 6-3 by Manchester City before, so Brendan Rodgers will therefore be looking for a big reaction from his side.
Liverpool have not played since their League Cup win over the Blues as their Gifting Day match against Leeds United was postponed due to a number of Covid-19 cases in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
Tielemans has received a lot of praise recently for his impressive midfield performances and reports have linked the former Monaco man with a move to Merseyside in the past.
Hopefully we can keep him quiet tomorrow and get the big three points to close the gap with Pep Guardiola’s side at the top of the table.
