“You’re two Hall of Famers” – Steve Austin praises Sheamus and Drew McIntyre » FirstSportz

WWE HOF recently praised the two Superstars, also calling them two-time pros.

Sheamus and Drew McIntyre are perhaps the busiest stars in WWE right now. Both come from different backgrounds and have achieved tremendous success in their respective careers. While Sheamus became the first Irishman to win the WWE Championship, Drew also became the first Briton to hold the title. While the two share a great bond in real life, both also share a great rivalry in the ring. Both had engaged in an intense rivalry in 2021 and even wanted to face off on the biggest stage of them all – Wrestlemania. But Drew lost the title at The Elimination Chamber, ending this dream match for both of them.

Drew also said in an interview that his rivalry with Sheamus will continue until the day he retires. While Drew’s last appearance was in a loss, he lost to Austin Theory in the qualifier for the Money In The Bank Ladder match. Sheamus has joined forces with Ridge Holland to form a faction they call The Brawling Brutes. The two superstars might be walking different paths today, but their contributions to the wrestling world cannot be undermined.

Steve Austin Praises Sheamus and Drew McIntyre, Calls Them ‘Future Hall of Famers’

Sheamus and Drew McIntyre
Although friends in real life, Sheamus and McIntyre have shared a heated rivalry in the past.

Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin also praised both former champions and believes both will be future Hall of Famers. Speaking to Bill Apter, Stone Cold reflected on the recent showdown between two superstars at a house show in Reno, Nevada. Steve Austin was also in attendance to witness the fight as well.

Speaking of the match, Austin said, “Drew and Sheamus headlined the map and they had a great main event. They probably walked for at least 20 minutes, almost like an anything goes match, and they tore down the house. They were a great main event and everyone loved it. Drew McIntyre is still doing great things. Damn Sheamus, I love where they just targeted him.”

Austin would then go on to say that when they both came to ask him about the match he simply said they didn’t need any advice from him and even went on to say that both stars would go on to become Hall of Famers. Austin told Apter, “They came back after the game and they were like, ‘Hey, what do you think?’ I said, ‘Come on guys. Together you have 40 years of experience. You’ve all been in business longer than I’ve ever been. what can i tell you You two are professionals!’ Two super great people and two Hall of Famers. All these halls of fame that I’ve been in, they’ll go in too.”

While the two received huge compliments from The Hall of Famers, both will face off on July 29thth Edition of Smackdown in a first-ever Shillelagh match, and the winner would get a shot at WWE’s Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Premium Live Event Clash at The Castle, scheduled to take place in Cardiff in September.
