Young Australian tourist dies ‘unexpectedly’ in Bali: ‘My heart doesn’t know what to do’

A devastated Australian mother has paid tribute to her “princess” daughter who died “unexpectedly” while on holiday in Bali.

Gold Coast woman Olyvia Cowley died on August 19 while visiting the holiday destination. It is not yet clear how the 24-year-old lost her life.

Her distraught mother Christina took to social media to share her heartbreak, saying: “My heart doesn’t know what to do”.

“My twinkle. My baby. My angel. i will miss you forever What a smile, you are someone who makes the world shine,” she wrote.

“My love for you is beyond anything you will ever understand.”

In another touching tribute, the mother shared that she wanted nothing more than to be a mother.

Now she feels “lost” as she mourns the loss of her beloved girl.

“You are my air my little girl,” she wrote.

“Mommy will be home with your sister soon.”

Her loved ones have rallied behind the family and started a GoFundMe to help get her body back to Australia.

“The family is currently planning to bring Liv home to the Gold Coast,” wrote organizer Shae Barr.

“To ease the financial pressure on the family, I am asking for donations if you are able to donate.

“We all know the impact of a community coming together and the Cowley family is already so grateful for the overwhelming love and support.”

Tributes have flooded social media, with friends saying “it doesn’t appear to be real”.

“The kindest soul. You had so much love to give,” said a friend.
