“You don’t have to wrestle much” – Wrestling personalities mix in Roman Reign’s recent WWE calendar with that of the legendary Hulk Hogan

Roman Reigns holds this Undisputed Universal Championship aloft and over his shoulders to add to his already dignified glory. The tribal chief has been widely popular since his return to WWE at Summerslam two years ago. He can reach the big milestone of holding the world championship for two years if he somehow manages to beat Brock Lesnar at this year’s Summerslam.

Veteran wrestlers Road Dogg and Vince Russo recently commented on Roman Reign’s reduced schedule he’s been riding since unifying the titles at Wrestlemania earlier this year. They agreed that established superstars don’t need to appear on recordings every once in a while and have an actual wrestling match every week. They even compared the case of Reigns to that of the legendary Hulk Hogan, who was also the biggest superstar of his time, just like The Tribal Chief defines this modern wrestling era.

“Once Roman or Hogan is done with that, he can’t be there every night, but he has to get to that level first,” James said. “At that level, they’re pushing him in front of people, whether it’s a music video, whether he’s playing bass or whatever, Hogan’s there.”

Roady and Russo continued to write to keep the top guy on TV screens without actually being there in person every week.

“You don’t have to wrestle a lot,” Russo said. “They do need a presence on the show, though. Brian knows there are so many ways to get them on the show without having to wrestle. You are the star of the show.”

Roman Reigns and Hulk Hogan are just two big names from different eras of professional wrestling. In the same way, while Hogan guided the company through what has been described as a golden period for the WWF, Reigns is destined for greatness in the years to come and will be remembered for generations to come.

The clash of what will be the two biggest mainstream ties in all of sports-entertainment right now is set for Summerslam, where Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match, and more importantly, WWE will call this theirs last encounter ever .

Roman showed up on SmackDown last week where his special counsel Paul Heyman was trying to ignite the fire in him he needs to start against Lesnar at just the right moment to knock him down for that 10 point.
