Not only are Francis Ngannou and Charles Oliveira 2 of the most deadly skilled fighters on the planet, but they are also some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Ngannou, the current UFC heavyweight champion, struggled most recently when he defended his belt against his former teammate for the first time Ciryl Gane. Ngannou is the scariest knockout artist to ever step in an octagon for MMA, winning against the likes of Gane. Alistair Overeem, Cain Velasquez, Junior Dos Santos, Stipe Miocic, Curtis Blaydes and many more.
Oliveira, the former UFC lightweight champion, only lost his title due to missing weight at the weigh-in of his last fight UFC274. Otherwise Oliveira completely dismantled his last opponent, Justin Gaehtje in Round 1. Oliveira is on track to become the greatest jiu-jitsu practitioner to ever set foot in the UFC octagon and has wins over Gaethje, Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson, Kevin Lee, Jim Miller, Michael Chandler, David Teymur, Clay Guida, Will Brooks and many more.

Francis Ngannou and Charles Oliveira appreciate each other’s journey to winning the UFC Championship
Not long ago, Ngannou and Oliveira met and had a great time. Ngannou posted a picture with Oliveira on Twitter and said “Can you imagine me @charlesdobronx Jiu-jitsu? [mind blown emoji] After 50 years I will fight on without any problems. [sunglass face emoji]” The picture was taken at the UFC’s Performance Institute.
Oliveira responded to Ngannou’s tweet in the comments by saying “The victor! Your legacy and story are inspiring.” Ngannou quoted Oliveira’s answer and then said “Your journey to becoming a champion and proving that you never give up is an inspiring champion! [Brazilian flag emoji]”
What do you think of this salutary exchange between Oliveira and Ngannou? Oliveira will once again fight for the title he once held when confronted Islam Makhachev in Abu Dhabi UFC280 on October 22, 2022. Who do you think will win? Meanwhile, Ngannou is on the verge of a business battle with the UFC to secure a better fight contract that will allow him to explore different opportunities outside of the Octagon. Who do you think Ngannou will fight next in his next title defense?
