WWE Twitter can’t help but love Logan Paul after SummerSlam match against The Miz

Some wrestling fans were skeptical that Logan Paul would go to WWE SummerSlam, but his match with The Miz made almost everyone a fan.

Fans who haven’t listened to WWE in a while might have been shocked when they watched Saturday night’s SummerSlam match card and saw Logan Paul fight The Miz. Yes, he did appear at WrestleMania, but a one-on-one match is a whole different beast. And yet no one thinks so now.

Paul put on an absolute show at SummerSlam. He was predictably charismatic but also clearly honed his craft as a pro wrestler, looking fluid and natural with one of the veterans of the business.

However, en route to a big win at the Premium Live Event in Nashville, Paul delivered a pivotal moment when he smacked a Monster Frog Splash at The Miz from the top turnbuckle onto the announcer’s table.

After the match — specifically the Frog Splash — WWE fans and even the legendary Mick Foley couldn’t help but give Logan Paul his props.

Perhaps the most impressive part of Paul (and The Miz) at SummerSlam was getting the newcomer as a face. He’s a natural heel given his public image and ability to be sleazy, but it was hard not to root for him on Saturday night.

Still, it’s clear he’s not just some celebrity cashing a check from WWE. Paul has done some serious work and honestly looks like a natural squared. That might have sounded crazy not too long ago, but Paul clearly has a bright future in this business and is just getting started.
