Triple H said: “Due to viral pneumonia, I have fluid in my lungs, fluid around my heart. h/t Fightful’s Jeremy Lambert and The EP. They monitored it, did an EKG. Basically, given the way your heart pumps blood, 55 to 65% of your injection fractures is a good number. I was at 30 (percent). I got a quick text saying, ‘don’t waste time, pack a bag, we’re going to the ER. I’ll fill you in on the go. ‘
By the time I got to the emergency room, my ejaculatory fracture had dropped to 22 (percent). I had heart failure. Bad. By the next morning, when they figured it out in the evening, the next morning when I was getting ready for my MRI and was about to go in for a cardiac cap, my ejaculatory fissure had dropped to 12 (percent). I’ve been nosediving and on the edge of an inch where you don’t want to. For your family and future, when they tell you it’s 99%, it comes true. We have three young girls; 15, 13 and 11 (age). Suddenly, I came home and I was a little sick, and their father, who had always been healthy, was suddenly in the hospital. I don’t know if they understand the consequences of that, but there are moments in which they’re kicking you out and you think, ‘this is it? Do you wake up again? ‘ It was hard to swallow. It makes you think differently about life. It doesn’t make you any less oriented with what you do, but it certainly makes you appreciate what you have; your friends and your family. ”
Later, Triple H revealed in the clip that he has a defibrillator in his chest. That’s when he announced he would never wrestle again.
In September, WWE announced that Triple H had undergone a medical procedure stemming from an inherited heart problem. As a result, he left the role of running the company’s NXT brand. His friend, Shawn Michaels, took on those responsibilities.
Triple H would go on to become one of the better ring performers in professional wrestling history. He is a 14-time World Champion, four-time Intercontinental Champion, two-time European Champion and two-time World Tag Team Champion. Triple H has also entered the main event WrestleMania six times.
His last televised bout was on June 7, 2019 at WWE Super ShowDown, where he wrestled Randy Orton in a losing attempt. Triple H’s last official match was in a live event group tag match against Shinsuke Nakamura on June 29, 2019, where they defeated Robert Roode and Samoa Joe in Tokyo, Japan.
