WWE had a number of different plans for the Intercontinental Title

What could have been. Winning a title is one of the most important things a wrestler can do in their career. It is a symbol that you have arrived and the promotion you are working for sees something in you. There are a lot of titles floating around WWE these days but picking up some gold still means a lot no matter what it may be. A recently debuted wrestler was getting ready to win something, but then the plans sadly changed.

Dirty Dango, formerly known as Fandango in WWE, is a guest on Details with Chris Van Vliet and revealed that he was scheduled to win the Intercontinental Title. Dango was scheduled to win the title but then suffered a concussion during the match against Great Khali. Instead of explaining this to WWE, Dango continued to struggle and suffered a concussion again during his match against Zack Ryder. WWE later found out that he was injured and pulled him out of the way. Dango said he believes Curtis Axel will go on to win the title, which came on June 16, 2013, less than two weeks after Dango wrestled Khali and Ryder on television.
