World of Warcraft 10.0.7 returns players to the Forbidden Reach and expands the Monk class to more races

Yesterday we speculated that with Activision-Blizzard’s Q4 financials looming and the bad news for Blizzard coming up, we would likely start seeing some major announcements almost any day now. This one is on the smaller side for World of Warcraftand we’ve known about it since Blizzard released a pretty solid roadmap in late December, but now we know it’s coming pretty soon and a few more details on it.

We’re talking about the 10.0.7 retail patch here Impressivethat Blizzard is preparing for the PTR. It features new historical armor for humans and orcs, new referral options, and the expansion of the monk class to include goblins, lightforged draenei, and worgens. It also comes with endgame PvE content:

“Return to the Forbidden Reach to learn the story of the Drachtyr Evoker’s awakening after Raszageth’s defeat was secured. This zone contains new content for max-level players dealing with the problems left in their wake by the Primalists’ meddling and the chaos they have wreaked upon the elements. Players will encounter new bosses and objectives, more storms, new loot to add to their arsenal, and more.”
