Woolworths supermarket is launching a new limited edition ‘rainbow cake’ in select NSW and ACT stores

Woolworths supermarket has launched a brand new limited edition Rainbow Layer Cake to support Rainbow Families and their work with LGBTQ+ families.

Customers can buy the new Rainbow Layer Cake now in select Woolworths stores in NSW and ACT while stocks last.

The limited edition cake is available for $10 – and $1 from every sale will be donated directly to Rainbow Families.

The new cake is made with fun, colorful layers filled with cream cheese buttercream frosting and topped with rainbow sprinkles.

Woolworths is proud to work with Rainbow Families, an organization supporting LGBTQ+ parents, carers and their children across NSW.

Since 2016, Rainbow Families has hosted family playgroup sessions, monthly social group meetings and support programs for new parents, building a community network that fosters resilience through connection, support and empowerment.

“We are delighted to partner with Rainbow Families, an organization that does incredible work in the community,” said Guy Brent, Managing Director of Woolworths Food Company.

“Family can mean different things to different people and I know that for the LGBTQ+ community this can often mean they need more support and guidance. Cake is often an integral part of family celebrations and so it made sense for us to create a product that families love to support a community that loves so proudly.”
