Woolworths supermarket cancels launch of Prime drinks with Logan Paul, KSI in Midvale, Perth

A highly anticipated promotional event in Perth featuring two mega influencers has been shut down.
Logan Paul and KSI, giants on platforms including YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, were set to meet with fans on Saturday as part of the launch of PRIME drinks at the Midvale Central mall.

However, with thousands expected, the event was scrapped over fears officials would not be able to keep it under control.
“Following a safety review and with the advice of WA Police, our safety providers and the City of Swan, in the interests of public safety, we are not satisfied that this event is taking place,” said a Woolworths spokesman.
The spokesman added, “We know this is disappointing for customers and fans,” but public safety “must come first.”
The social media stars wanted to promote their energy drink PRIME, which will be in stock at Woolworths from the end of this month.
That’s not the case now, as the Australian retailer says there would be no planned events before the drink goes on sale in its stores.
PRIME is a beverage partner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which hosts a major event at Perth’s RAC Arena on Sunday.
Police pulled the pin at a similar meet-and-greet event in Perth’s CBD after a huge crowd gathered to see TikTok star Anna Paul, who is not related to Logan, in August.
There were reports of people breaking up and tensions rising among rowdy fans.
Beyond social media, Logan Paul has dabbled in boxing and podcasts, and just last week wowed WWE fans with a wild stunt that saw him jump off the top rope and collide with another wrestler.
He’s also drawn a lot of criticism, mostly for uploading a vlog showing a man’s corpse at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan, in an area known as the “Suicide Forest.”
KSI, real name Olajide Olayinka Williams, started out as a YouTuber and grew his following by posting video game content.
Like Paul, he also started boxing and released two albums as a rapper.
The pair faced each other in the ring twice, with KSI winning both bouts.
The landlord’s complaint was roasted online.
