Tigga recently turned a $5.75 Woolies caramel mud cake into a Bluey cake – and garnered nearly eight million views on the video-sharing platform.

But when one Australian mum tried to give it a try, things didn’t quite go as she had hoped.

“Enjoy this absolute abomination,” she wrote, sharing a picture of the result on the popular Woolworths/Coles Mud Cake Hacks Facebook group.

“It looked easy on TikTok.”

People in the group were let down by their decorating efforts.

“The two sticks just did it to me,” wrote one.

“This is the honesty I needed in my life. It’s very cute, although it’s not like the picture,” said another.

“OMG I really love it! It made me smile, thanks for sharing,” one commented.

Many praised the mother for her efforts, including the son of a group member.

“I just showed my seven year old. He says, ‘Keep trying!’”
