Woman killed in horror accident involving two cars in Windsor Gardens

A woman died in a car accident in north-east Adelaide overnight.
Emergency services were called to the North East Road in Windsor Gardens to report that a Ford Mustang and a Holden station wagon had collided just before 10pm on Saturday.
A 40-year-old woman, the driver of the Holden station wagon, died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Mustang, a 22-year-old man, was unharmed. He was arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He was granted police bail to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on May 31.
While North East Road was closed for several hours, it has since reopened.
The fatality marks the 35th fatality on South Australian roads this year. The road toll at the same time last year was 16.
