Woman fighting for her life after being hit by a train at Ormond Station in Melbourne

A woman has been hit by a train after falling from her mobility scooter onto tracks at a Melbourne train station.
Police and paramedics were called to the incident at Ormond Station in south-east Melbourne around 10am on Friday.

The 56-year-old woman was seriously injured and taken to Alfred Hospital in critical condition.
Officials are investigating the circumstances of the incident but it appears she fell from her mobility scooter.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
Train services between Caulfield and Moorabbin were suspended until early Friday afternoon.
