Woman dies in house fire in Daly City – CBS San Francisco

DALY CITY (BCN) – North County Fire Department officials and the Daly City Police Department are investigating a house fire that killed a woman Saturday night.
A second resident of the 500 King Drive home was able to escape, said Jeff Huntze, Fire Battalion Chief.

When firefighters arrived at the scene of the fire at 5:30 p.m., they found thick smoke and flames on the second floor of the house as well as many items inside the house making it more difficult for them to reach.

When the search and rescue team got in, they found the victim dead on the second floor, Huntze said.
The cause of the fire is unknown, he said.
