Wizards Hand Warriors 5th loss in 6 games, 123-115 – CBS Baltimore

WASHINGTON (AP) – Corey Kispert scored 16 of his career-high 25 points in the first half, and the Washington Wizards beat the struggling Golden State Warriors 123-115 on Sunday night.

The Wizards took a 28-24 lead after the first inning, and 20-6 in the second making it 57-39. Golden State rallied and led 59-51 after halftime.


Washington had a comfortable lead throughout the second half, but the Warriors cut it down to five with 32.5 seconds remaining when Damion Lee hit the free throw.

After Washington’s Tomas Satoransky took a throw-in to help Washington make it 121-115, Thompson missed 3 points at the other end.

The Wizards now follow Atlanta five games to take 10th and last place post-season in the Eastern Conference – just eight games left.

Golden State is fourth behind Memphis in second place in the West and falls 2 1/2 behind Utah and Dallas, who went head-to-head on Sunday night.
