Windsor Family Fair closed after 1 day

A fair scheduled for 10 days in unincorporated Weld County was closed after one day this week “due to circumstances beyond our control,” according to the management company.

The Windsor Family Fair was scheduled for July 14-23 on Colorado Boulevard south of Colorado 392, west of Windsor. The fair opened as planned on Thursday and closed on Friday.

The fair was hosted by Broad Space Events, a production company that hosts “amazing family events,” according to its website.

A post on the Broad Space Events website and Facebook page says the show is being postponed until further notice. The Facebook post was created at 4:56 p.m. on Thursday.

A spokeswoman for the city of Windsor said in an email on Friday night that she had no information about the fair and its closure. Communications manager Kimberly Overholt said the fair, which was built on unincorporated land in Weld County, and technically Windsor does not have jurisdiction over the area.

Overholt said the city has been taking “a lot” of calls and questions about the fair and it wasn’t aware of the closure until a request was made on Friday.

There is no location or address listed on the Broad Space Events website or Facebook page. The website lists a phone number with the 407 area code. A call to the number on Friday evening went to voice mail.

The 407 area code operates in the Orlando, Florida area.
