Will NHL 23 be available for PC?

While almost all major sports game franchises including FIFA, Madden NFL and NBA 2K offer PC versions, NHL hasn’t for over 10 years. This situation routinely leads to questions arising at the time of the release of the annual NHL game, whether that will change. Will NHL 23 end this drought and become EA Sports’ next NHL game for PC? Here’s what we know about the possibility of NHL 23 coming to PC now.

As of this writing, we’re not sure if NHL 23 will be available on PC. In fact, there’s a lot we don’t know about NHL 23 as of this writing, including what might be new features in the next installment of the NHL franchise.

While other EA Sports games like FIFA and Madden NFL have been releasing annually on PC for quite some time, NHL has not. The last time an EA NHL game was released on PC was in 2008 with NHL 09. Since then, the series has been relegated to consoles, specifically the Xbox and PlayStation platforms.

We don’t know at this point whether that will change for NHL 23 in 2022. It may not be very good, at least if the technical test gives any indication. In late July 2022, EA Sports gave NHL fans the opportunity to register and participate in a closed beta of NHL 23. While the options included the ability to try NHL 23 for both old- and current-gen Xbox and PlayStation platforms, PC wasn’t one of the options.
