Two things are certain next Saturday: Real Madrid will be faced Liverpool are in the Champions League final and striker Gareth Bale will feature in his last game for the Spanish giants.

Some consider Bale a flop at Madrid while others think he could be a misunderstood legend.

Can he do it again in Paris?

Real Madrid: Can Gareth Bale make it big again?

It’s one of the biggest stories this week after coach Carlo Ancelotti included Bale in the squad for the final. It’s very possible that Bale has his last game for the club. How it turns out for Bale remains to be seen.

Bale has already won four UCL titles, an insane amount but continues to be underestimated. Madrid fans have often accused him of caring more about playing for Wales than Real Madrid. The truth is that he has done a lot for the club and the country in the last ten years. In fact, he has a knack for scoring goals in league games for Real Madrid.

Bale joined Real Madrid in 2013 but was loaned out to Tottenham, his former club, for the 2020/21 season. He returned to Spain in 2021 and has seen very limited playing time this season. Overall, he has scored just seven goals in all competitions, scoring just once.

That doesn’t mean Bale, who is likely to be on the bench early in the Liverpool game, can’t come late should Real Madrid need some attacking action. Injuries to one of the starters, like Karim Benzema or Eden Hazard, could see him lose a few minutes.

Bale may be in action at Madrid but he has proven he can score big goals when challenged. Madrid haven’t shown much love for Bale in recent years but that doesn’t mean he can’t deliver them a big trophy should they need him.

Bale could very well be the unlikely hero in Paris next Saturday. In a game with so many unpredictable variables, Bale could prove once again that he is key for Real Madrid in big games. Will Gareth Bale make the difference again for Real Madrid?
