The Jacksonville Jaguars have quietly made a move that could put their hands on their plans with the #1 pick in the NFL Draft.
The offensively tagged Jaguars franchise head to head with Cam Robinson on Tuesday afternoon for the second straight season.
While Jacksonville desperately needed some attacking support and was able to tackle it early in the Draft, this could indicate that the team is looking to take their consecutive No. 1 pick in a defensive position, like like Aidan Hutchinson of Michigan.
Here are the current odds for the 1st pick from WynnBET Sportsbook:
Hutchinson is the runner-up of the Heisman Trophy this season after attending the University of Michigan Rugby League. The defensive finish is often mocked in the second pick and the local Detroit Lions, but the move could show that Jags has seen enough after the NFL Draft combined and wants to take him out first.
The other players in the mix are attacking quarterback Evan Neal from Alabama and Ikem Ekwonu from North Carolina State. Ekwonu has risen to the draft boards over the past few weeks while Neal has long been linked with Jacksonville after staring at Alabama’s dominant offense.
However, keep an eye out for Hutchinson, who could be the trendy name on fake drafts after Jags signaled they were keeping Robinson on for a hefty price tag.
