Why were 9 Magic players banned after fighting with Pistons?

The Orlando Magic took on the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, and it was a match that viewers will remember, not only because the Pistons won the game in a tremendous win by twenty points, but also what was just before followed by halftime.
A brawl broke out in the NBA after a long time – people couldn’t believe what they saw as Moe Wagner pushed Killian Hayes into the Pistons’ dugout. Hayes responded immediately with a smack in the back of Wagner’s head.

Additionally, following the incident, both players were all thrown out of the game along with Hamidou Diallo, who also influenced the brawl by pushing Wagner to the Pistons’ bench.
After the game ended in a 121-101 victory for the Pistons, more Magic team players were banned than the Pistons players who defeated Wagner. It seemed unfair that the NBA announced the list of suspensions — Cole Anthony, Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter Jr., RJ Hampton, Gary Harris, Kevon Harris and Admiral Schofield — all banned for one game. At the same time, Franz Wagner received a two-game ban.
On the other hand, only two Pistons players have been suspended – Killian Hayes, who beats Wagner, won’t play the next three games and Hamidou Diallo won’t play the next game due to his involvement in the brawl.

Why are Magic players banned?
When Magic players were suspended, fans were shocked and wondered why they were being punished at all. Just because they wanted to make sure their team was okay? Well, that doesn’t seem fair from any angle.
NBA Laws, Rule No. 12 Section VII states,
“During an altercation, all non-playing players must be in close proximity to their bench. Violators will be banned from at least one game without pay and be fined up to $50,000.”
But shouldn’t the entire Pistons team be penalized if that’s the case?
Franz Wagner was also asked about the fight and he replied: “Of course we know about it [that we could be suspended]”Usually something like this happens on the pitch and not in front of the other benches. That was part of our concern as teammates. You don’t want your teammate alone among the whole other team.”
The NBA has been making unpredictable calls lately, what will happen next? Stay with us for more updates.
