Tiger Woods is looking to win the Masters for the sixth time in his career. Here’s who Caddy is and how much he makes.
The third round of the Masters takes place on Saturday April 9th as golfing legend Tiger Woods attempts to win the sixth green jacket of his career.
Taking part in the first competitive golf tournament since his car accident over a year ago, Woods got off to a strong start on day one. Beginning Saturday, Woods is +1 over par and nine strokes behind Scottie Scheffler for first place.
Those following the event are probably wondering who Woods’ caddy is and how much he makes.
Who is Tiger Woods’ caddy?
Wood’s caddy is Joe LaCava, who earned the position back in 2011.
LaCava previously worked for Fred Couples in the 1990s and 2000s and was on hand for 12 wins before the two parted ways. He then was a caddie for Dustin Johnson for four years before joining Woods.
The Woods and LaCava duo know what it’s like to win at The Masters, having won the Augusta National event in 2019, which was Woods’ fifth of his career.
Interestingly, LaCava wears a New York Giants or New York Rangers jersey under his caddy bib since he’s a fan of both teams.
How much does Tiger Woods’ caddy make?
It is unknown how much LaCava makes as caddies earnings vary and are not published. Typically, caddies make up about 10 percent of a golfer’s income, but that can vary from golfer to golfer. Considering how long LaCava has been in action for Tiger, it’s likely he’s fetching a far more northerly six-figure sum than his caddy.
