Who is the next killer in Dead by Daylight?

Dead by Daylight Chapter 25 Resident Evil: Project W details

At the time of writing, all we know about Dead by Daylight Resident Evil: Project W is that it is a sequel to the first Resident Evil DLC, which brings Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers as two new survivors and Wesker as a new killer. The chapter should launch sometime in August or September, although it needs to go to the PTB before it’s released to the wider player base. Perk and ability details for all characters in this DLC are still scarce, although they will be revealed closer to the PTB release.

Wesker has been confirmed as the newest killer in Dead by Daylight. Early leaks suggest he’s called The Mastermind, and thanks to Behavior Interactive’s first Behavior Beyond showcase, we know a little bit about his powers. This version of Wesker is inspired by the legendary villain’s appearance in Resident Evil 5. As such, he uses the Uroboros virus, which creates black tentacles and transforms Wekser into a Colossal Titan in Resident Evil 5.

While Behavior Interactive is still working out exactly how Wesker’s powers will work, it has been clarified that any attacks or interactions with him will result in a survivor becoming infected. The infection can be treated with sprays across the map, which only appear when Wesker is the killer. Leaks suggest that there is a transformation mechanism related to the infection rate of the Uroboros virus, but we don’t have details on that at this time.

Finally, Behavior Interactive detailed Wesker’s ability to lunge and lunge at survivors. Once he rushes them, he can hurt, infect, or nullify them, but this could be related to the transformation mechanic.
