Isaac remarks how they are together, but they haven’t seen each other in six months. Aside from this dialogue, little is known about Nicole as a character. Nicole Brennan is medical officer with Ishimura. She’s one of the main reasons why our main character, Isaac Clarke, agreed to accept the job of repairing the USG Ishimura after a reported communications failure. Isaac and Nicole had been together long before the events of Dead Space, but Nicole took on the job of working on the Ishimura. This kept the two apart for almost six months before the events of the game.

As the outbreak began, Nicole desperately tried to keep the crew alive, but with little effort. The crew’s infection grew and spread as the Necromorphs killed more as they stormed the ship from the colonists who had boarded it.

Nicole has a handful of appearances in the Dead Space remake. She tries to help Isaac put the marker back on the planet and place it in the right place. However, it is revealed that she was a hallucination, and she was one all along during the game. She had perished and died long before Isaac made it onto the ship.
