Lukasz Brzeski will make his UFC debut on Saturday in San Diego.

Heavyweight Lukasz Brzeski already has some history with the UFC.

On The Contender Series by Dana White Last year, Brzeski defeated Dylan Potter by submission and was awarded a contract. A few months later, Brzeski tested positive for clomiphene and was banned for nine months. The UFC decided to keep him and he will make his debut against DWCS alum Martin Buday on Saturday.

Brzeski hails from Poland and amassed an 8-1-1 record prior to his appearance at DWCS. Brzeski was scheduled to fight at DWCS in August 2021 but had to pull out of the fight. A month later, when an opportunity arose, he engaged in a short-term battle with Potter.

Brzeski has seven finishes and added an 8th to his record when he defeated Potter with a rear-naked choke in the third round. There was some controversy over the interruption as it appeared Potter never knocked. Regardless, Brzeski received a contract at the end of the night.

Unfortunately, a failed drug test sidelined Brzeski.

Lukasz Brzeski meets Martin Buday at UFC San Diego

Brzeski will climb into the cage for the first time since September. Brzeski will finally get his chance to prove himself Dana White To the right.

Opposite him this evening is Slovakia’s Martin Buday (10-1), who also received a contract with the DWCS last year. Buday is on a nine-fight win streak and recently defeated Chris Barnett by technical decision in April. These two big boys have 14 finishes in 18 wins together, 12 of them by TKO/KO, and they’re both looking to improve in their last game, so I wouldn’t count on this fight going every three rounds.
