Who is Elfilin in Kirby and the Forgotten Land?

When everyone got their first look at Elfilin in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, they were rightly a little skeptical. Of course, this floating rodent looks cute and harmless, but this isn’t the first time we’ve been introduced to a Kirby ally who later turned out to be evil. On that note, who is Elfilin in Kirby and the Forgotten Land?
Warning spoilers for the game below!
When we first meet Elfilin in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, he was captured by the Beast Pack before Kirby rescues him. He tells you that the Waddle Dees have been captured and urges you to rescue them and help rebuild Waddle Dee Town. Before Kirby arrived, he helped the Waddle Dees build their town before the Beast Pack ambushed them.
Of course, Kirby, the ever-heroic creature, agrees to save the Waddle Dees. The two then go on a journey together, and Elfilin works as Kirby’s guide. However, after defeating King Dedede, Elfilin is captured by the royal penguin while Kirby celebrates his victory. He is kidnapped to the Lab Discovera.
You later find out that the elf has the power to create vortices like the one that transported Kirby and the other denizens of Dreamland to this area. He is also part of Fecto Elfilis with Soul Forgo. These two together form the final antagonist of the story, Ultimate Life-Form Fecto Elfilis.
While Elfilin is part of the main villain in this game, they aren’t evil on their own. They’re actually the good side of beings, which is why they’re so small. Soul Forgo is the much bigger evil side. When combined, the two have the power to cause worlds to collide.
