Who does Villanova play against in the Final Four?

The Villanova Wildcats are advancing to Round 4 of the Finals after beating the Houston Cougars in the Elite Eight.

For the fourth time under the guidance of iconic head coach Jay Wright, the Villanova Wildcats will make it to the Finals.

No 2 Villanova won a tough fight against No 5 Houston Cougars in San Antonio, by a score of 50-44. This is the seventh time Villanova has come this far at the tournament in school history. The last two times reaching the Finals, the Wildcats won all-round (2016 and 2018). So the big question is who awaits them in New Orleans next weekend?

This is who Villanova will play in the national semi-finals in the framework of the Quarterfinals.

March Madness Picture Frame: When does Villanova play in Final Four?

Since Villanova were the first team to qualify for the Finals, the Wildcats will have to wait and see who their opponent will be in the national semi-finals. Because they won the South Zone Finals against Houston, they will play the winner of the Midwest Regional Finals between the Kansas Jayhawks 1st and the 10th Miami Hurricanes. They play their Elite Eight game on Sunday.

Kansas is the only number 1 seed left in the NCAA Tournament. While Miami is a big underdog as the 10th seed, the Hurricanes aren’t the least likely team left to make it to the Finals. That would be the 15th Saint Peter’s Peacock, who was still jumping into the Elite Eight. They will face No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels in the Eastern Regional Finals on Sunday at prime time.

Villanova basketball fans can rest easy tonight knowing the Wildcats will be in the Big Easy with a game against Kansas or Miami on Saturday, April 2 in New Orleans.
