The main event of WrestleMania 39

The Mega Card Main Event pits reigning undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns against Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes. Reigning Champion Tribal Chief has held the Universal portion of his championship for over 900 days and has not been pinned or submitted since December 2019. Hence, the challenging American Nightmare has a Herculean task ahead of him, but Rhodes has managed a career from misrepresenting people.

After a failed stint in WWE nearly a decade ago, the 37-year-old decided to go it alone, eventually forming rival company All with his pals the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and billionaire Jacksonville Jaguars owner Tony Khan elite wrestling. After his contract expired early last year, Rhodes toyed with his future in hopes of making it big. As those who play crypto casino Games featuring Joe Fortune will tell you, occasionally you can hit the jackpot while playing, and that’s exactly what Rhodes did in January when he won the Royal Rumble.

The American Nightmare made a shocking return at last year’s WrestleMania when he returned as a surprise opponent to Seth Rollins to a thunderous ovation. This year, Rollins has a different challenge ahead of him with social media sensation Logan Paul.

Logan Paul’s matches in WWE

As we all know by this point, Logan Paul is a pioneer of the YouTube world and has amassed a whopping 6 billion views across all platforms. As such, It wasn’t a surprise to see him join WWE, with his brash personality seemingly perfect for the scripted world of sports entertainment. He made his debut for the company at WrestleMania 37 in a non-wrestling role and went on to agitate the crowd before eating a Kevin Owens stunner.

The following year, Paul made his WWE debut by teaming up with The Miz to face off against Rey and Dominik Mysterio. The Maverick shocked the world with his natural wrestling skills and he and his teammate managed to claim victory. Then said teammate would turn on Paul and plant him with a skull crushing finale to sow the seeds for a match at SummerSlam.

Once again, Paul would blind. He confronted and defeated his friend-turned-foe, The Miz, at Nashville’s 69,000-seat Nissan Stadium, and once again stole the show. The highlight of the match and the entire pay-per-view was Paul hitting a frog splash from the top rope through the Spanish commentary table outside the ring.

Maiden World Title Challenge

Logan Paul’s rise in WWE came faster than expected. After beating The Miz at SummerSlam, Paul hosted Roman Reigns on his Impaulsive podcast. After the Head of the Table finished his interview and left the set, Paul told his co-hosts that if the two ever went head-to-head, he believed he would beat the champion.

As you can imagine, Reigns took offense and the gauntlet was laid down for a showdown for all the gold at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. The match was one of the biggest of the year, but no one knew what upstart Paul was in for in his test against the veteran champion. In the end, however, the Maverick would steal the show for the third year in a row.

The match was a high-octane blockbuster affair. The highlight was once again Paul hitting a frog splash off the top rope through the outside commentary table, but this time he incredibly captured himself flying through the air with an iPhone. In case you haven’t seen the clip yet youtubewe ask you to.

In the end, Reigns would retain his title, and we wouldn’t see Logan Paul again until the Royal Rumble. There he would eliminate Seth Rollins from the 30-man extravaganza, and he would also take The Architect out of the United States Championship at the Elimination Chamber. Now Paul and Rollins will go head-to-head on the biggest stage of them all. Wrestlemania 39and it remains to be seen if the eldest Paul brother can steal the show again.
