A small item that you might not think of in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is called Mirrorweed. It’s a held item that you can give to your Pokémon, and normally you might think too much about held items other than being able to use them to evolve a Pokémon. However, Mirrorweed is unique and makes it easier for you to teach Pokemon egg moves without hatching them from eggs. Here’s what you need to know about where to get mirrorweed in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to get Mirrorweed in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
You can pick up Mirrorweed in a handful of locations. It will be an available item to pick up at the Delibird Presents Store. There are three cities you can visit to find a Delibird Presents store. However, only one of them will have the Mirrorweed. You can find it in Cascarrafa City, where you get the Water-Type Gym Badge from Kufo. The store will have it available for 30,000. You can choose to pay for it with money, or you can use League Points (LP), the recurring currency for anyone who regularly participates in Tera Raid battles.

Once you have it, give it to the Pokemon you want to teach an Egg move to, then find another Pokemon that can teach the Pokemon that Egg move. You need to make sure that the Pokemon holding Mirrorweed has an empty Move slot in its roster. Once they do, have a picnic and let the Pokémon play together. Finally, after a minute or two of waiting, the Pokemon holding Mirrorweed will get the egg move you were trying to teach it from the other Pokemon, and you’re free to use it now.
For example, we were able to teach our Eevee to use Mudbray’s Double Kick fighting move by inviting him to a picnic where Eevee held Mirrorweed. However, you can only use this once per Pokemon.
This is quicker than waiting for a Pokémon Egg to hatch and letting the hatching Pokémon learn Egg movement, especially if the Pokémon already has the stats you want.
