By now, you may have accumulated Summon ashes of various enemy types in the Elden Ring. Most players tend to upgrade wolves, as they are very fast and can deal decent damage. Or perhaps you’ve come across Kaidan Sellsword Ashes, which can summon a tyrannical brute capable of resisting some bosses. One type of enemy everyone is interested in are the Living Jars – adorable, tripping enemies you can face every now and then – and yes, you can summon them too. This is the place to find the ashes of the Soldiers in the Elden Ring.
You need access to the Altus Plateau. The closest location to Grace is the Outer Wall Battlefield or Hermit Trader’s Shack. Head east, and at the fork in the road, go southeast. There’s not much here, but there are two bears and a bear lurking in the woods. Head north when you reach the ridge and open the door to the Auriza Side Tomb.
This tomb contains puzzles about warp, live vial enemies, and gargoyles, as well as level 5 and 6 Ghost Glovewort and some rare Cracked Pot items. The boss of the dungeon is the Duelist – a brute who can use quick combos and often at long range. He attacks with four enemies in the Living Vase, so it’s best to summon your best Ashes and take out the Living Jars while the Duelist is distracted. Once you defeat him, the soldiers of Fortune Ashes will be yours.
This summon is slightly different from the others – it consumes your HP instead of your FP. It summons three soldiers, who will explode upon taking critical damage. While not as defensive as the other Ashes, Troops deal massive AoE damage through their explosions and spin attacks.
