Where to find the Sliver of Meat in the Elden Ring – and what it does

One of the first crafting materials you have a chance to find in the Elden Ring is the Sliver of Meat. Like other meats, you have to track and hunt down certain animals first, but the rewards are well worth it. This is because the item is part of a booster recipe that weakens harmful status effects you’ll spot throughout The Lands Between. This is where you can get the Sliver of Meat and what to do with it.

The Sliver of Meat is mostly usually discovered through hunting carcasses of deer or sheep, but it also has a very low chance of being dropped by rabbits. Each of these animals mainly breeds in the larger forests of the Limgrave. For example, you can hunt each one in the woods north of Elleh Cathedral or around Mistwood Ruins (as shown below). Remember, these creatures are faster than most enemies, so it’s best to track them down on horseback.

Meat Pieces are only needed to craft Cured Meats. Once consumed, the meat will temporarily increase your Immunity to lessen the effects of poisons and attacks inflicted by Scarlet Rot. To make Meat Immune to be cured, you need to first possess the Armorer Cookbook [2], which can be purchased from the merchant east of Limgrave’s Seaside Caves for 600 Runes. Once completed, the item can be crafted with five Rowa Fruits, one Dragonfly headand a piece of meat.
