The Elden Ring is full of all sorts of Cookbooks that give you access to new Crafting Items. Using these can sometimes be the key to surviving in a difficult open world. Some cookbooks are easy to find, while others are a little off the beaten track. The Nomad Warrior Cookbook is one of those things that can be hard to spot if you don’t know where to look. Let’s see where to pick up this useful item and what it gives you access to.
The nomadic merchant selling this cookbook was found east of the Mistwood Ruins in the Limgrave region. If you’re walking along a marked path, you’ll notice that one player note glows brighter than the others you see in the game. It says “the store is open”, so turn east and you’ll see the merchant sitting by his campfire.
The Nomad Warrior Cookbook will run you 1,500 Runes. That price isn’t cheap, but you should be able to raise it relatively easily in the woods around traders. This cookbook gives you access to an item called the Beastlure Pot. When thrown, this item casts a shadow that attracts beasts. Using this against the likes of bears and wolves can get you out of a predicament. While you’re here, be sure to pick up Armorer’s Cookbook from the same merchant.
