Where to find the lump of meat in the Elden Ring – and what it does

Exploring a lump of meat can be a frustrating task in the Elden Ring, mainly because it’s not guaranteed to drop from enemies. The in-game item description states that it mainly comes from carnivores, but only one has a high probability of carrying flesh. Once picked up, the crafting material can be crafted into a powerful consumable.

Meat blocks are more likely to fall from boars. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find more than a few wild boars throughout the game, but you can spot a wild boar roaming the right side of the fields north of Elleh Cathedral ( as highlighted below). Second, the Limgrave and Caelid coastlines should be examined, as some have bodies bearing material. Dogs and wolves can also be plundered for the Lumps of Flesh, but the chances of them keeping it are very low.

This material is used exclusively to craft an item called Exalted Flesh. As one would expect from a protein, this item increases your physical attack, but the effect will only last for a minute each time it is used. You can unlock its recipe by getting the Deserter’s Cookbook [2] located in the lone house in the Dragon-Burnt Ruins. You will then be required to have five Rowa Fruits, a Giant Beast Bone, an Arteria Leaf, and a Meat Ball to create Dead Skins.
