You won’t reach Wargtooth Shallows for a while. You get to this area after completing the Weepwild Dankness and unlocking the Nocean area of the Overworld. You must then clear the algae in front of the area to unlock it. Once you enter Wargtooth Shallows, finding the Obelisk is fairly easy. From the beginning of the area, follow the path forward and you’ll find that the path splits after you reach the fast travel location. Jump the gap forward and stick to the left side and you’ll find the obelisk with no problem.

The obelisk in this area will have you fighting waves of sea wargs. These are the land sharks you may have seen at Mount Craw if you have traveled to that area. Make sure you bring a firearm to deal with all the enemies. This obelisk’s miniboss is the Great Wight. After defeating the miniboss you will have completed the challenge. You can come back later to farm this miniboss by traveling to the Recent Beach fast travel point.
