There aren’t many snake-type Pokémon in the history of the franchise, and that’s why Seviper is a must-have in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. So, in order to get yourself this awesome Poison-type companion, here’s how to find and catch Seviper in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to catch Seviper in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

To find Seviper in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, all you have to do is head southeast from the Academy toward the muddy swamp in Area 5. You can see below which area is Seviper’s habitat according to the Pokédex:

Although the Pokédex says you can find Seviper in the swamp, you should look around in the grass there. Here we could find some Sevipers. Though many Scarlet and Purple Pokémon spawn in groups, Seviper is always alone, making her a little harder to track. You will usually see it gliding across the grass.

Since this is an area that is generally accessible after starting the treasure hunt, Seviper will be around level 20-25. So if you’ve just started your treasure hunt, Seviper has the perfect level to join your team. Otherwise, if your level is a little too low, you can practice and level up the nearby Pokemon before engaging.

If you want to quickly lower his HP, use Ground and Psychic attacks. Since they are very efficient Sevipers, you also have a chance to defeat them instantly, so be careful. If you’ve lowered his HP enough, a regular Poké Ball should be enough to catch him.
