Ringtail Slimes are a new addition to the stable of lovable creatures in Slime Rancher 2. Ringtail Slimes are notoriously finicky and can often get into all sorts of trouble at night. The Ringtail Slime can be found in various areas of the Ember Valley. But before you can enter the Ember Valley, you must get past its gatekeeper, the Pink Gordo. Luckily, it’s particularly easy to get past as its diet consists of meat, vegetables, and fruits, all of which are easily found around Rainbow Island. Once you’ve passed the Pink Gordo and interacted with the device to open the portal to Ember Valley, you’re one step closer to finding a Ringtail Slime.

Ringtail Slimes are incredibly sneaky and do most of the work when it’s dark. Due to a mysterious condition that turns them to stone during the day, they can be easily found in various areas of Ember Valley at night, or places where the sun doesn’t penetrate, such as caves. However, Ringtail Slimes can also be found during the day, albeit more difficult as they are then immobilized and not as active. If you find that they’ve turned to stone by sunrise, you can still treat them with your vacuum and then take them to a cave for them to return to normal.
