Zipper T. Bunny has invaded your islands Animal Crossing: New Horizons. He also leaves decorated eggs everywhere. Fortunately, these things have a use. There are several different types of eggs, all of which are used in the new series of DIY recipes in Bunny Day. Once you’ve collected enough Eggs, you’ll gain access to these new crafting items.

You interfere during the event Animal Crossing: New Horizons at different places. There are six types of eggs in total, each with their own spawn chances and sources. The game randomly drops eggs from different areas depending on what the player is doing. For example, if you cut down trees, you have a chance to find wooden eggs. The rabbit day takes place from April 1st to 12th. During this time, different types of eggs can be collected, each with a unique appearance, name, and spawning location. There are earth, sky, water, stone, wood and leaf eggs. To craft all new DIY recipes you need to collect some eggs. Each recipe, like the Bunny Day Bed that you unlock when you talk to Zipper, uses a certain amount of all the different eggs in the event. Remember that these eggs will stop spawning after the 12th, so collect enough now.


Here are the ways to find each egg type for Bunny Day:

  • Earth Eggs – Found by digging. Every time you dig up a cracked piece of earth, there’s a chance it will produce an Earth Egg instead.
  • Water Eggs – Found while fishing. Each time you successfully catch a fish, it has a chance to produce a water egg instead.
  • Heaven Eggs – Found by shooting down a floating present. Each available kill has a chance to produce a Celestial Egg instead.
  • Stone Eggs – Found by breaking stones. Every time you successfully crack a stone there is a chance to produce a stone egg instead.
  • Wooden Eggs – Found by chopping down trees. Each time you successfully chop down a tree, it has a chance to produce a wooden egg instead.
  • Leaf Eggs – Found on non-fruit trees. Cherry blossom trees in the northern hemisphere, regular wood trees in the southern hemisphere.
