Where to find Baller in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3?

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 reintroduces a vehicle that has been absent for quite some time: The Baller. This vehicle was previously vaulted at the start of Chapter 1 Season X – that was almost three years ago.

Now that the dust has settled on the Collision event’s epic mech combat, Ballers are back in battle royale; here is where to find them.

Shooter locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3

In our experience, we found Ballers to be the most common rave cave, a new point of interest located where Command Cavern used to be. You can find this location southwest of Logjam Lumberyard. We’ve also marked it on the map below:

We recommend entering the Rave Cave POI from the south. In most cases, we’ve found that a Baller spawns straight into a large, mostly open garage that has roller coaster tracks running through it in the southern part of the POI.

That’s how you drive the Baller

You can move while controlling a baller by using the left analog stick, but you’ll definitely cover more ground if you can shut down the vehicle’s grapple function. Pulling and holding RT/R2 allows you to fire a grapple projectile. When this projectile hits something, hold down the grapple button to pull yourself towards whatever you’re just clinging to. Then, as you swing around your grip point, release the trigger to let yourself fly.

To get a little more momentum, you can tap the jump button for a short speed boost. You can also move backwards/sideways while holding onto an object by holding LT/L2, but we’ve never found much use for this particular feature.

If you have a solid grip point, gain a good bit of momentum, and get your speed boost just right, you can cover a lot of distance with this vehicle. It can come in handy when you need to escape quickly or escape the storm. Just don’t expect it to be useful in combat; it has no offensive capabilities.

Can you tank Ballers?

Unlike other Fortnite vehicles, Ballers are not refuelable. They appear to run on electric power, while most of the game’s other rides are gas powered. As such, don’t expect to roll the entire game around. However, there is a way to keep Ballers riding around seemingly indefinitely if you want to take down Zero Week quickly “Driving 2,000 meters in a Baller” Seek.

In Rave Cave, the same spot where you’re likely to find a baller, you can move a baller onto the roller coaster tracks that are there. Ballers doesn’t lose battery life on the tracks, and you should be able to earn a cool 15,000 XP in minutes just for taking a spin around the former IO base.
