The Cemetery Shades are black creatures that appear in dungeons in the Lands Between. These beings wield a weapon called the Mantis Blade, which has the ability to double its size, making these enemies harder to dodge. They also possess the ability to stun you for a brief moment so they can come in and strike. A Cemetery Shade will quickly end your playthrough if you’re not careful. Here’s where to find all Cemetery Shade bosses in Elden Ring.
The first Cemetery Shade boss you’re likely to encounter is at the bottom of the Weeping Peninsula. This is the area south of Limgrave, across the Sacrificial Bridge. After reaching the peninsula, head south until the road splits and follow the path west. You’ll find the Tombsward Catacombs near the road in the middle of the peninsula. The boss is in the dungeon and will drop summoning ash for Lhutel the Headless when defeated.
The nearest graveyard shadow is in Lirunia. This is the land north of Limgrave, which is on the other side of Stormveil Castle. The boss here is at the end of the Black Knife Catacomb. There is also a Black Knife Assassin boss in these catacombs, but the bosses are separate. To reach these catacombs, head north in Liurnia and then east, where the land meets the lake in the center of the region. Follow the path north along the cliff and you will come to several cliffs with tombstones sticking out of them. Here are the catacombs. Once you defeat the boss, he will drop the Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes.
The final graveyard shadow is in the Caelid region east of Limgrave. This area is where things get tricky in the game, so stay alert. After reaching Caelid, head southeast toward the impassable Great Bridge. Follow the southern cliff and you’ll find the entrance to the catacombs next to a tree with a large crow waiting to attack. Defeating the Cemetery Shade in this dungeon awards the Kindred of Rot Ashes.
