Where can I find the Grappling Hook in the Green Hell?

While Green Hell definitely can’t hurt players trapped deep in the Amazon rainforest, there are items that can help. The Grappling Hook is one such item that players can stumble upon, although admittedly it has limited utility.

The Grappling Hook can be found in both Survival and Story in an area called the “overturned jeep” located near (16, 44) in a ravine by a felled tree. The grappling hook can be found near the jeep’s bed along with some random loot pieces.

Unfortunately, the grappling hook’s existence doesn’t mitigate the seemingly consistent elevation changes across the map. Instead, it can only be used in certain spots created for the tool where a cutscene is played. The Grappling Hook survives with the player by respawning in the event of a death.

Additional players will not be able to manually select the grappling hook (which appears on a backpack strap) from inventory, but will instead be prompted when it is usable. Still, the Grappling Hook is a worthwhile pick-up for effectively opening up more of the map for players. Nothing is worse than realizing that you need to turn back and find an earlier location to continue exploring.
