While there are definitely some terrifying creatures to be found in the sea, one of the cuter additions you’ll find in the water is Finneon from the Pokémon series. This colorful fish has evolved well and is a good choice for a Water-type Pokémon in your party. If you want to fill out the Pokédex entry, here’s Finneon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to catch Finneon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Finneon is a Fish-type Pokémon found only in western Paldea Sea in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. A really good spot to jump in here is at Port Marinada and swim south while you look for it. Be sure to look for it during the day, as it often stays submerged at night and when it rains, but comes to the surface in the dark, making it easier to find.
When fighting Finneon, keep in mind that they are a single water type. It is weak against Electric and Grass attacks. It is resistant to Fire, Ice, Steel, and Water attacks. Try using other types of attacks to drain its health without making it pass out, giving you a better chance of catching it. If you have Net Ball in particular, these work pretty well against Fish-type Pokémon.
After catching Finneon, you can make it evolve into Lumineon by leveling it up to level 31. In general, Lumineon has decent overall stats for combat, but it’s not really the best water option in the game. It has pretty impressive speed and special defense stats with lower health and attack stats. Maybe you only want it against Fire and Rock-type Pokémon.
