(When is the Wild Cat playing next?)

2nd seed Villanova Wildcats will face 11th Michigan Wolverines this week in the action movie Southern Region Sweet 16 in Texas. Time begins at 7:29 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 24.

The Wildcats made it to the round with wins over No.7 Ohio State and No.15 Delaware. They won those games by a total of 31 and are ready to run to the Elite Eight.

Will they be able to hold the Werewolves towering behind them long enough to move forward?

This is the upcoming schedule of Villanova and odds for its Sweet 16 game via WynnBET:

A win from Villanova would put them in the Elite Eight and final round of the South play area. This will be Villanova’s first time making it to the Elite Eight since they won the entire tournament in 2018. They will face winners No. 1 Arizona and No. 5 Houston.

Cash flow:

The Wildcats got their second Big Ten in a row after narrowly beating the Ohio State Buckeyes. Their first game was an easy one against Delaware. So you could say Michigan is the first potential challenger for Villanova. But is it really latin?

The only real threat Michigan has in Villanova’s eyes is Hunter Dickinson. And he will be a problem for Villanova. You can be sure of that. But, is that enough? I don’t sell.

Wildcat’s offense is so good that the entire roster would solve the problem for the Wolverines. Villanova are the eighth best team in the nation in adjusted offensive efficiency with 118.3 points per 100 possessions. I think the odds here are a bit higher than usual, and I’m happy to consider Nova as a light favorite.

Lean: Villanova -5 (-110)
