(When is the Wild Cat playing next?)

The No 11. The seeded Michigan Wolverines continue to outperform and are currently in the Round of 16 Sweet against the 2nd-seeded Villanova Wildcats. This South Zone match is scheduled to kick off at 7:29 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 24 in San Antonio Texas.

The Wolverines are actually one of only two 11 seeds left in the tournament along with the Iowa State Cyclones in the Midwest. Michigan has now made it to the Sweet Round of 16 in five of the past six years.

Here is the upcoming Michigan Tournament schedule and odds for the game Sweet Sixteen via WynnBET:

If Michigan can get past another March Madness, they’ll be in the Elite Eight for the second time since 2018. The last time the Wolverines did, they made it to the finals of the tournament. A game in the Elite Eight will be against the winner for Arizona and Houston on Thursday.

I mentioned this match in my article about Villanova and their upcoming schedule. However, I will provide a quick summary of my thoughts here to make life easier.

Basically, the Michigan Wolverines are playing on their head and there is only one real threat on the field. That threat is Hunter Dickinson. That’s not to say there aren’t other good players on this team. But Dickinson was the only Wolverines player who could legally take over a game.

The problem for them is that Villanova has many players who can fill that role and no one in the Wolverines has been able to cover them effectively.

The Wildcats have four players scoring double-digit averages and are top of the top 10 for adjusted offensive efficiency. I don’t see Michigan constrained in this one. Their Cinderella story is coming to an end.

Lean: Villanova Wildcats -5 (-110)
