When does round 2 start?

While the first round of the NFL draft draws a lot of attention, people will also be excited for Friday’s second round.

Probably the best three days for football fans are ahead. Yes, we’re talking about the NFL Draft. The first round is scheduled to begin Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET. Las Vegas will be jumping in anticipation of who takes the Jacksonville Jaguars for No. 1 overall.

Note, however, that things don’t get done on Thursday. Many people will also set the alarm clock for the second round. So what time does it start on Friday?

There’s a lot of intrigue ahead of the second round of the NFL Draft

For those of you wondering, the second round starts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep in mind that both the second and third rounds will be completed by the end of Friday evening.

As important as the first round is for the teams, it is expected that there will be plenty of studs available in the second round as well. Remember that players like Rob Gronkowski, Michael Strahan, Brett Favre and Drew Brees were all hit in the second round. There’s a lot of Super Bowl fame between those four.

While we don’t want to compare future second round players to those listed above, it just goes to show that there will always be elite options after day one of draft. There will be a lot of pressure on the general managers to throw the picks out of the park on Friday night. Fans will be ready to see how things play out.
