Wheaton High School Student Arrested After Loaded Gun Found – CBS Baltimore

WHEATON (WJZ) – A 17-year-old student at Wheaton High School was arrested Tuesday after a loaded gun was found on the student, Montgomery County Sheriff said.

Staff at the school reported Tuesday morning that the student had a strong smell of marijuana. He was escorted to the main office, and police said he agreed to a search. During that search, police said officers found a loaded handgun and marijuana.

The gun was confiscated the police were called. It is not clear who carried out the search.

When the police arrived, the student was arrested. He has been charged with multiple weapons offences and is being held in the Central Processing Unit.
