What is FFXIV Heardle and how to play it?

With the feeling that Wordle is conquering the world and people’s minds, many people are developing similar web-based games. One of these versions requires you to guess the name of a song being played. One of the games that does this is called FFXIV Heardle, a Wordle-like game made for fans of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy 14. As the name suggests, all the songs are from this game.

If you’ve tried Wordle, this game plays similarly. You have six attempts to guess the name of the song. However, where this deviates from this wordle, don’t get hints if your guess is close to your guess by highlighting the letters it shares. Instead, one wrong guess will get you more of the song. You can also hit the “Skip” button, which will cost you one of your guesses in exchange for the next snippet of the song. You can play the parts of the song over and over again.

Another way this game differs from Wordle is that as you type your answer, you’re given a list of songs to choose from, unlike Wordle, where you have to spell the entire word. This is extremely helpful as the game has many wonderful tracks and saves you time as you don’t have to type your entire answer.
