West Tek location in Fallout 76

There are a lot of places you’ll eventually head to in Fallout 76’s wastelands. Some places are quite easy to get to and you will want to access them immediately, while others will take some time to reach. The West Tek Research Center is one of those areas to avoid until your character has racked up a decent amount of levels. After all, this area is highly dangerous. Make sure you bring some damage resistant armor with you when you go.

Location of the West Tek Research Center

West Tek Research Center is one of the easier to find areas on the map. This is because it is marked on the map by a hospital-style building. This area stands out from the world as there isn’t much around it either.

You can find the West Tek Research Center south of the National Isolated Radio Array in the Savage Divide region on the map. The Savage Divide region on the map is the tan strip of land that runs between the forest and swamp regions.

What to do at West Tek

West Tek is a place that you can visit frequently. You come here as part of the Steel Reign quest line. The mission that will take you to this area is called The Catalyst. You will also come here as part of an ally quest for Sofia if you decide to complete her quest line. If you enjoy participating in the Daily Ops missions, West Tek will appear occasionally.

The West Tek Research Center is filled to the brim with super mutants who won’t be happy to see you when you arrive. Make sure you have good damage resistance before getting into this area. This area is a great place to gather items to scrap for Scrap and is especially good if you’re looking for Scrap Steel. The varieties in the building have crops that you can harvest. You can also find a magazine and a bobblehead in this location.
