NFL DFS Showdown Picks: Thursday Night Football Week 14

Pittsburgh is very thin for offensive liners, though out JuJu Smith-Schuster and Eric Ebron is an injured substitute, no other skill position player currently has an injury designation. About the full-back Joe Haden and linebacker Robert Spillane are going out. TJ Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick is now healthy after being out the last time the Steelers were on a primetime leaderboard.

Adam Thielen out with an ankle injury, and deal Christian Darrisaw inability to play with his own ankle problem. Dalvin Cook missed last week with a shoulder injury, although he made limited participation in the final two training sessions of the week and will likely be the deciding match.

Pittsburg Steelers: 20.25 points

While the Vikings are solid against the pass, they have DVOA in 5th. This affects the Steelers’ preference for running. At the age of 39, Ben Roethlisberger possibly in his final season and is clearly a game manager at the moment. Although he has limited interceptions and his dismissal rate is lower than his career average, Roethlisberger doesn’t throw much of the field and his touchdown rate is the lowest since 2008 when his teammates. Willie Parker, Rashard Mendenhall, Hines Ward, Heath Miller and Santonio Holmes. Roethlisberger is somehow the second-highest salary on FanDuel, but he’s appropriately sixth on DraftKings.

Run again

Rookies Najee Harris continues to shoulder the load for the Steelers, accounting for almost 75% of the rush and second-most finishes on the team, though to be fair, every receiver has missed at least one game this year. Since Week 7 bye, non-Harris backrunners are matching with just under three carries per game.

With such a heavy workload, Harris is in an important position to continue to dominate his backyard, and you can take advantage of all that use in Betting market favors NFL players. Wide receiver

Diontae Johnson Leading the group with 120 goals sees a number two in all but one game this season. Chase Claypool is next, and in his last three healthy games, he has averaged 6.7 goals. Ray-Ray McCloud and James Washington each gets a chance or two when the other expansions are healthy, which makes them the best darts throw.

Tight ending

Rookies Pat Freiermuth has been a standout this season, and since goodbye he has averaged six goals per game, while the rest of the tight finish saw only two combinations on average. Are from Eric Ebron was lost in Week 11, Zach Gentry is the only tight finish on target, and he has had a pair in each of the last two games.

Defense / Special Team

Pittsburgh is back on the sacks charts with 37 – just over three goals per game – but Minnesota is second-least in the league, with 1.5 goals per game. The Steelers have only scored once per game, while the Vikings have only ceded six, which is the lowest number in the league.

Minnesota Vikings: 23.25 points

Kirk Cousin has the fourth-highest center-back rating this season and averages 279.4 yards, seventh-highest in the league. 25 touchdowns with three interceptions is a pretty big ratio, but tonight he won’t have Adam Thielen, Who is his go-to pick in the clutch. Pittsburgh is a defensive disaster, aside from collecting sacks, and they have their 24th and 25th runs surpassing the DVOA ratings by Football Outsiders. Cousin is savvy enough to take what his opponent gives him, which will accumulate towards the end of the game in the fantasy score column.

Run again

Dalvin Cook (shoulder) is recovering from an injury that has lasted for weeks, so it is far from guaranteed that he will play tonight. If he is active, he can give a large number of opportunities to Alexander Mattison, who has been productive for the past two seasons when he started working for Cook. Full back CJ Ham was an afterthought as he rarely got the chance to attack and played about a third of the tackle. Last week when Cook was away from home, Kene Nwangwu played only 9 of the 11 moments that Mattison was sidelined.

Justin Jefferson has become a phenomenon again, and he is building on the success he had as a rookie. Currently, he’s second in the league in yards received per game with 100.8 while leading the league in at least 20 yards plays with 21. When Thielen dropped last week, it was KJ Osborn who led the group with 92% of snaps, with Jefferson getting 91% and Dede Westbrook saw a seasonal peak of 42% as the third widest collector. Westbrook has just five goals in six games since Week 7 bye, while Osborn has 19 and Ihmir Smith-Marsette one, which he saw last week after Thielen went missing.

Tight ending

Tyler Conklin saw nine season-highs last week and during the season he has all but nine for the spot. About theory, Chris Herndon will be the next man, even though he has had almost identical number of photo shoots Luke Stocker over half a dozen games over, and only two targets in the timeframe, also matched Stocker.

Defense / Special Team

Minnesota and Pittsburgh are both in the middle of the pack from a revenue perspective. The Vikings are one place behind the Steelers for the league lead, and Roethlisberger has been sacked 11 times in the last four games.

They provide a nice barometer for player value, but for those using the MME method, remember that correlation is key. This means matching one or two receivers with a midfielder in a Captain/MVP position. This also works in reverse of pairing a Captain/MVP pass catcher with their quarterback.
