Wedding of Tayla Damir Nathan Broad: The Love Island winner weds the AFL Premiership player in an intimate ceremony

Three-time Richmond Premiership player Nathan Broad and former Love Island winner Tayla Damir have married.

The loving couple held their ceremony in Queensland with only close family and friends.

They announced the news on Instagram with a short message posted with three photos.

“Mr & Mrs Broad -17.10.2022,” reads the text.

The Tigers defender and the Myer model are both originally from Perth but held their ceremony in the Gold Coast hinterland.

They got engaged in June last year.

Her only important rule for the day was simple: phones off.

“My biggest thing is that I want to see everyone’s face and not the back of the phones, so in that case it’s probably going to be a phone-free wedding,” Tayla told the Herald Sun in September.

“It’s really quite a sophisticated wedding with really close family and friends.”

The new bride said she “loves it in Melbourne” since moving from WA and that it “feels like home”.

Broad popped the question to Damir on the porch of her home, footage of which was captured by her security camera.

“How lucky I am to marry the person I look up to the most,” she later said, and the support for the people you love is why I fall more in love with you every day.”
